RIP UGA IX

Sad sad news to report. And right before the holidays no less. UGA IX has passed away at age 11 (or approximately 57-70 Dog Years, depending on which Dog Age Calculator you use). Feel like he should have had some more years to enjoy his retirement, but like they say, the good ones always go too soon.

A career timeline, in remembrance:

-2009 – named interim mascot to replace UGA VIII.

-2012 – named the school’s full-time mascot. Officially collared.

-2015: Retires with a 44-19 career record, passing the title on to his grandson, “Que.”
